The Carpenter House

The vision of The Carpenter House is to support the development of healthy homes and environments for low income children to thrive and reach their highest potential for academic success. Achieved through a holistic approach that provides access to outstanding mentors, enriching activities and organized sports to youth while creating a gateway to deliver multigenerational resources, such as nutrition and financial literacy, that aim to break down barriers to creating healthy homes. Our goal is to invest in, build and inspire communities of change.

The Carpenter House is proud to announce a new partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools to find, train and hire 75 individuals as teachers aides in special needs classrooms. We are proud that through creative partnerships we can work to help tackle one of our city’s major barriers to success – quality employment.

Carpenter House Communities

The lack of affordable housing is a significant hardship for low-income and single parent households, preventing them from meeting the basic needs of nutrition, healthcare, education and financial stability. Carpenter House Communities (CHC) looks to address these issues.

Special Delivery

Special Delivery

Special Delivery is a program that recruits Carpenter House participants to deliver toys, food and clothing during the holidays to their neighbors and other disadvantaged families in Baltimore. This provides our youth with perspective and the opportunity to give back.

Shutdown Academy

Shutdown Academy is a development program for boys and girls designed to empower them to reach their fullest potential through the core values of integrity, honor and respect. It creates a rich, dynamic learning environment with unique educational opportunities for our students.

Commitment 4 Change

Commitment 4 Change

Youth summer camp that provides football instruction, financial education, workshops, leadership classes, mentors and other beneficial resources. C4C serves over 200 children by joining with area recreation centers for the youth summer football camp for ages 7-17; with daily meals included.

For My Kidz

For My Kidz

For My Kidz is a year-round mentoring program that works with local schools to provide programming that focuses on personal and professional development.

Founded in 2005, The Carpenter House is led by Founder and CEO Keion Carpenter and board members Aaron Maybin and Bryant Johnson. Leveraging their NFL experience, relationships and resources, Keion, Aaron and Bryant are investing in the communities they thrived in.

The Carpenter House was founded by Keion Carpenter, a native Baltimorean and retired Atlanta Falcon dedicated to empowering his community through affordable housing, youth athletics and mentorship.

TCH Board Member Aaron Maybin, is a native Baltimorean and Defensive Player in the NFL  who is committed to supporting at-risk youth through arts, athletics and mentorship.
